Old Business:

Ms. Johnson announced that the Hopewell Township Committee work session originally scheduled for July 26th to discuss strategies for raising the funds necessary to match those available from Mercer County to construct a new senior center was not held. Current plans are to hold the session shortly after Labor Day.

Considerable discussion among the Board members elicited feelings of both frustration and concern and the hope that the parties involved could reach an agreement on a reasonable and doable course of action, with consideration of both short-term and long-term community needs.

Public Input:

Mr. Potter asked about the results of Seniors' Day at Cream King which took place on August 9th. Mr. Farmer responded that he had not yet heard anything about the results but would contact them.

Mr. Farmer moved for adjournment. The meeting was adjourned at 4:00PM

Next Meeting: Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at 2 PM at the Senior Center.

Respectfully Submitted,
Joel May, Secretary
