The meeting was called to order at 2:10 by Chairman Larry Mansier. This meeting is a public meeting and has been advertised as such in the newspaper.

The previous minutes were approved.

The sendoff party for Bob Riley was described by Larry Mansier. It was attended by the Mansiers and members of the Bridge Group.

Abigail Waugh, the Senior Service Coordinator was on vacation, but she submitted a report which was reviewed.

The findings of the Four Square poll is to be presented on Sept 16th at the Township Building. (Since changed to October 14th).

Public Input was requested.

The Explorations Program: A letter has been sent out describing the four courses being offered. This is a new endeavor providing courses in four areas: Medical Ethics, Enjoying Shakespeare, Genealogy and Myths, Lies and Legends of American History. Courses will be interactive. They will be given at the Pennington Presbyterian Church at 13 South Main Street, Pennington. Classes will start at 1:00 PM. Fees for one course will be $30 with $20 for each additional course. Course leaders will be Joel May, Larry Mansier, Nancy Nelson and Carol Sheaffer and Stan Saperstein. Larry Mansier, Nat and Shirley Norton and Barbara Pratt met to find issues related to schedule and place. Classes will be held on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and will be of two hours duration. Larry asked for individuals to work on a brochure. The material could be put on the Hopewell Valley Website and on the Township Website. Handouts and applications will be available at libraries and churches. Publicity and registration forms will be included in the Senior Spirit.

Senior Picnic: Material on the Exploration Program will be included at a table at the picnic.

A subcommittee was formed consisting of Larry Mansier, Ann Bolick, Joel May, and Virginia Silliphant to advertise Explorations. A meeting will be held at Mansier's house at 9:30 on Sept. 2, 2009.
