Chairman:

As part of the board’s recent emphasis on publicity and community involvement, there have been the 2 presentations to municipal government and interested citizens and one to the Lions Club, in addition to 5 press articles of these meetings or other activities of the board. For the record: 2/19 HVN, 2/19 PP, 3/1 Times, 3/5 HVN, 3/8 PP.
A meeting between Chairman Mansier and Pennington Council Liaison Lawver has been scheduled for March 31to review in detail the boards work to date and to discuss other aspects of the building plans that might be of interest to the borough.

General:

The brochure has been finalized and will be printed for use as general information regarding resources for seniors in the valley.
There was discussion of the possibility of creating a pro forma business plan as a further tool in telling our story to interested parties. Since the concept of a “Business Plan” might have different meanings to each of our diversified board, Chairman Mansier suggested that each member spend some time thinking what such a plan might embody in a way to demonstrate the feasibility and benefits of a new senior center. Discussion will ensue at the April meeting.
Nils Stout recommended that the SAB enter a representative car in the 2 municipal parades over Memorial Day Weekend. The board universally thought this a good idea and inquiries will be made about presentation, placement, availability of convertible or flatbed and other related issues.

The meeting was adjourned at 3:52

Respectfully Submitted: Bob Riley: Secretary

Next meeting scheduled for Wednesday, April 15, 2009, 2:00 at the HV Senior Center
