The Meeting was brought to order at 2:05 by Vice-Chairman Farmer. Notice was made of meeting the Open Public Meetings Act requirements.
The minutes of the April meeting were approved with no consequential changes.

Coordinator Abigail Waugh circulated her monthly report that will now embody a statistical presentation of participation by seniors in the specific activities. There ensued some discussion regarding format and frequency, but the concept was universally accepted as a tool to more easily assess community participation.

Ms. Waugh pointed out that responsibility for the maintenance of the Senior Center will be more a Pennington municipal activity, with corresponding adjustments made to balance financial responsibilities amongst the municipalities. When asked as to what near term projects need be completed, the issues were: Fire Safety, Bathroom accessibility for handicapped, Parking and Signage.

As part of the long range facilities planning, assessment survey questions are being formulated to invite community participation regarding plans for seniors. Hopewell Borough SAB members are creating a parallel program to embody those issues which are unique to that Borough. Several meetings are being planned to finalize the overall survey.

The SAB was universally pleased that the web site for seniors was up and running.

Vice-Chairman: Mr. Farmer brought the SAB up-to-date on the site for the proposed center by reporting that the ground water detected at such site is being tested for pollution and contaminants, a not particularly alarming event.

Ms. Waugh and Mr. Riley advised that they had separately been approached by Pennington officials requesting information regarding progress on the proposed site and the status of planning for such Pennington domiciled site. It turns out that a meeting had been scheduled amongst the municipalities dedicated to the subject.

Mr. Farmer discussed the status of the somewhat parallel Senior Foundation that is being established without any apparent issues.

The meeting was adjourned at 3:50

Respectfully Submitted:
Bob Riley: Secretary
